Grants are not "free money". Grants are not handed out to everyone that applies. I never received a grant for school, but my (now) wife received one every year. As for working from home, try mystery shopping. In addition, keep trying. Eventually you will find what you are looking for.

I was wondering if there is any help out there for me. I am female and will be 50 next month. I lost my job in October and have been on unemployment since. I have enrolled in a Medical Billing and Claims specialist course and have been using my unemployment to pay for it. My unemployment is running out and I have no way to continue. I just want to better myself but am finding myself in need of help. Any answers?

I live in a small town called Morrill Nebraska it's near scottsbluff, NE. I have never been too much on charity, but I am in a situation. I need help to get a home. I have a decent job, and I make low to moderate income. I have a daughter who really is wanting a home of our own. I have live in the country most of my life and I would really be interested in having a little bit of land. Just enough to have a couple horses on. what kind of government funding would be available to help me find something like this. I don't have much money saved and my income isn't real high. I am a single mother, does this help because I am minority. Even just a home in a small town would be sufficient.

I am 18, married, and have my second child on the way. I was able to get a full ride before I married, but now I cannot find any help at all. It's hard to watch my husband work so hard and us not have money for simple things like food. My parents help us out, but asking them to pay for something like that is too much. Does anyone know where I can find help? I've been looking since I was 12, but things are a lot different now. Please help.

The only thing I can suggest is that since you are a teacher look to your health insurance policies and see if there is a provision for temporary disability. Have you requested FMLA thru your employer ? Then go to the local social service agencies and apply for assistance. I know that this is not much help, and if you are like me, they will probably tell you that your car is worth too much, or that you have too many assets to qualify for anything, but it is definately worth a shot ! Also look for your local salvation army, they can at least temporarily help you with food. My prayers are with you, I am in same boat, but it has been seven months since I have been allowed to return to work due to injury and my employer still has not fired me so that I can at least collect unemployment. What state do you live in ? Do a google search for whatever area you live in under social service angencies. What about the father of your children - will he help you ? Good luck, I wish I could help you but I am in bad financial situation myself so all I can offer is someone to talk to :)

I have been working since my son turned 6 weeks old and i was released from doctors orders. I live in the state of Florida and in the past two weeks i have been to about 20-23 car lots and no one is willing to help me. i have been working at the same job for 3 1/2 - 4 years. I need a truck with a/c it is just too hot here and my son has been sick enough in his short life. I curantly own a 1989 Jeep Cherokee which I love but I would rather get something newer that i could depend on and not burn up taking my baby to the doctor in Panama City, Florida, which happens to be a an hour and a half drive with my 3 year old. if anyone can help me please e-mail me at ringmasters_mother@yahoo.com

URGENT APPEAL TO
Due to the atmospheric change and recent cyclone in Arabian Sea cause heavy rain in Balochistan. Pakistani government builds a dozen of dames in populated areas of Balochistan which has forbidden by Baloch peoples. The breakdown of dames cause thousands of killed. After the flood there is a critical situation in Balochistan and peoples living their facing food and medicine problems. The flood destroyed the all Balochistan and there is no area save from the flood and Pakistani cruelty. Still there is no help from the Pakistani government and as well by the international community.
We appeal to american federal aid agency come fast to save the life of Two millions Baloch. There is no support for flood affected areas and peoples are living under the sky without of any shelter. There is no infra structure no any kind of social organization in Pakistan to save Baloch peoples. There is no rescue helicopter to save Baloch peoples but Pakistani gunship helicopters are busy to kill Baloch nation all around the Balochistan and especially in Marri and Bughti areas. International communities already notice the critical life of more than eighty thousands people living in Dera Ghazi Khan and Jaffer abad who left their home due to the war by Pakistani Army. We appeal to provide shelter and basic needs to Baloch peoples. And save the life of flood affected peoples and refugees living in Dera Ghazi Khan and surrounding areas.

I am Active duty military attending college. I could not afford to get the GI Bill upon entry of the military so i am not eligible for that benefit. Does anyone know of a guaranteed scholarship i can apply for? Also my GPA is a 3.7. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Good luck to everyone else out there in this similar situation. Thanks.

Hey Airman,
(1) Go back to the education center on your base. Find out if they offer 'tution assistance'. Other branches of the military offer this. This is NOT the GI bill.
(2) Contact the financial aid departments of different schools. Ask them if they know of any aid available to military personnel.
(3) Contact some of the service organizations, ask them about financial aid for military persons.
(4) There are also scholarship that are available to militart and their dependents. A friend of mine got 30,000 in scholarship for her daughter this way. She went on the internet, searched high and low.
I wish you the very best,
ekikaseven

Thank you so much. I have applied for TA already. Unfortunately, it did not cover all costs associated with the Adult Learning Degrees and there is a $4,000 cap per Fiscal year. I really do appreciate your help. I have been checking Collegeaid.com, as well. There are a few scholarships there. Thanks again and if you hear of any other forms of assistance, please let us all know:)

I am a single mother of one. I recently moved to the San Diego area but fell on hard times. I was unemployed for the first 3 months I was here and fell behind on my credit cards. I am now working full time but I am so far behind that I can't seem to crawl out of the hole to provide the necessities for myself and my daughter. I am currently sleeping on a friends coach. I am a hard worker and would just like to provide for my daughter. Does anyone have information on grants for single moms (and I don't want to pay for a kit) or on someone that will get a loan for me.
Thanks mwade32@hotmail.com
